(a) RT-qPCR analysis of the selected GHOSCA genes under drought stress conditions, imposed by adding 17% of PEG-6000. (b) RT-qPCR analysis of the selected GHOSCA genes under salt stress conditions, imposed by adding 300 mM of NaCl solution. The relative expression level of 10 selected GhOSCA genes was normalized to the reference gene histone 2 in different tissues. The transcripts in non-stressed was set as 1 for each gene in different tissues. The bars show the standard deviation of three technical repeats. Different letters indicate significant differences in the expression levels of the genes in tissues at different time, 0 h, 24h and 48h of drought stress exposure, while for salt stress conditions, samples were taken at 0h, 3h, 12h and 48h of post salt stress exposure (ANOVA; P < 0.05). 0 h: normal conditions
